---------To be a good driver

一、教学内容:Culture time & Cartoon time

二、教学目标:

1. 知识目标:

(1)知晓英国和中国汽车行驶的方向不同,并有兴趣了解更多国家交通规则的异同点;

(2)通过Cartoon time的学习,增强分析和提炼信息的能力,并能进行准确的朗读和较为生动的表演;

(3)进一步提升公民素养,知晓交通规则和礼让行人的重要性。

2. 技能目标:

(1)能理解、正确朗读Cartoon time并能生动表演;

(2)能理解道路安全知识,尝试用英语说说道路交通规则;

(3)能牢记过马路的交通规则,树立安全意识。

3. 情感目标:

(1)在学习中,培养学生良好的听、说、读习惯。

(2)能牢记过马路的交通规则,树立安全意识。

三、教学重点:

1)通过Cartoon time的学习,提升学生的自主学习能力;

2)了解中国和英国交通规则的不同。

3)能生动表演Cartoon time

4)能描述行人和司机必须遵守的交通规则。

四、教学难点:

能用英语流利地表达道路规则,并从中获得安全意识。

Step 1 Warm-up

1. Guess the riddles

Road/ pavement/ red man / green man/ traffic lights/ zebra crossing

2. Look and match

Ss need to match the pictures with the phrases quickly.

【设计意图:由Guess riddles引发学生思考,,让孩子们复习交通规则的图片,这样既能增强学生和老师的互动,让课堂变得更活跃,又能很好地引导学生复习交规的内容。】

Step 2 Revision

Retell the story time (to be a pedestrian)

Step 3 Cartoon time

1. Watch the story and answer

How to be a good driver?

   A good driver must not talk all the time.

2. Listen and find

Why does the bus stop here?

A good driver must look at the traffic lights.

A good driver must yield to pedestrians.

3.Read and answer

  Why does Bobby and Tina take a bus?

What do they sww on the road?

4.Listen and repeat

(1) read together; (2) read & act in roles; (3) recite & act in roles

Step 4 Culture time

1. T: Look! These are Bobby and his sister. They are playing football on the road. Do they obey the rules? Let’s discus what he must/mustn’t do. Please share your opinions and advice.

2. Summary: How to cross the road safely with traffic lights?

           How to cross the road safely with no traffic lights?

Let the students to summarize.

3. T: Boys and girls, sometimes rules are different in different countries.

 In the United Kingdom, people drive on the left side of the road.

In the People’s Republic of China, except Hong Kong and Macau, people drive on the right side of the road.

4. Discus why they are different and learn Culture time.

5. Students fill in the blanks then chant together.



【设计意图:Culture time在这课的主题中显得特别有意义。让学生了解不同的国家规则也各不相同,在掌握英语的同时也开阔了眼界,了解别的国家的人文背景,接着让学生填空,复习过后再进行chant,锻炼了口语,加深了印象,学生也会比较感兴趣。】

Step 6 Homework

1. Read Culture time and Cartoon time 5 times. Try to retell Cartoon time. (必做题)

2. Talk about what rules we must obey at school with your partners. (选做题)

3. Find out more different or interesting rules in other countries and share with us. (选做题)

4. Tell your friends how to be a good driver.

【设计意图:学生的能力各不相同,用“选做”激励学生来挑战略有难度的题目。对于这类练习,老师在设计时要注意来源于课本,要求稍微高于课本,是学生够一够就能摘到的“苹果”,让学生在学习中体会付出所得到的快乐。】
