教学过程:

Step 1 Greeting & Warm-up

T: Boys and girls, today we will learn Unit6 An interesting country.

Teach: cousin--- country

T: What country is it? Let’s guess.

People there speak English.

It has many interesting animals.

It is the 6th biggest country in the world.

S: Australia.

T: Where is Australia? Can you point it out?

S: Yes. (在地图上指出)

(设计意图:通过猜一猜、找一找的方式,让学生初步了解澳大利亚的情况。)

Step 2 Presentation

1 T: Look at the picture. What are our friends talking about?

S: They are talking about Australia.

T: Yes. They will learn about Australia next week. (通过next week, 让学生体会will的意思)

Teach: will 将要

T: They want to find out about the country before the lessons.

Teach: find out  a 找到 b 发现

T: To find out about Australia, we can use different ways.

For example, I will read e-books to find out about Australia.

2 T: What about the children? How will they do?

T: Plants and animals are our good friends. And we should protect them. Look at the plants, they can make the air clean.

(设计意图:在朗读中体会文本,在朗读中感悟文本,利用视频短片让学生充分感受到澳大利亚是一个有趣的国家,并在练习中有所拓展,了解澳大利亚更多有趣的地方。)

Step 4 Homework

1 Read the story time and try to recite it.

教学反思:

本节课是第六单元的第一课时,初步感知will的用法和了解澳大利亚的一些知识。will的句型在之前的学习中有涉及过,对学生来说难度不大。在本节课导入部分,教师没有直接呈现澳大利亚这个国家,而是给学生一些线索,让学生通过这些信息猜测今天所要学习的国家。并让学生通过看地图找一找,初步了解澳大利亚。

接着,通过课文插图1,引出The children will learn about Australia next week. They want to find out about this country before the lessons. 引发学生思考:通过什么方式去发现澳大利亚?然后通过同桌讨论,首字母填空的方式,培养学生读图的能力以及通过上下文理解课文的能力。

在学习图2的时候,放手让学生通过同桌合作,读一读、圈一圈的方式去理解和感悟文本,并在理解文本的基础上培养学生概括内容的能力。

巩固阶段,主要采用朗读的方式,让学生通过朗读进行更深地感知与体会。并完成书后的相关作业,以及进行相应的拓展,让学生多方面去了解澳大利亚,去感受澳大利亚的有趣之处。

整个一堂课,借用图片和短片,学生真正感受到了澳大利亚的有趣。而学生能够使用自己的语言去描述澳大利亚这一点上,还做得不是很到位。
