教学过程:
Step 1 Greeting & Warm-up
T: Boys and girls, today we will learn Unit6 An interesting country.
Teach: cousin--- country
T: What country is it? Let’s guess.
People there speak English.
It has many interesting animals.
It is the 6th biggest country in the world.
S: Australia.
T: Where is Australia? Can you point it out?
S: Yes. (在地图上指出)

Step 2 Presentation
1 T: Look at the picture. What are our friends talking about?
S: They are talking about Australia.
T: Yes. They will learn about Australia next week. (通过next week, 让学生体会will的意思)

教学反思：
本节课是第六单元的第一课时，初步感知will的用法和了解澳大利亚的一些知识。will的句型在之前的学习中有涉及过，对学生来说难度不大。在本节课导入部分，教师没有直接呈现澳大利亚这个国家，而是给学生一些线索，让学生通过这些信息猜测今天所要学习的国家。并让学生通过看地图找一找，初步了解澳大利亚。
接着，通过课文插图1，引出The children will learn about Australia next week. They want to find out about this country before the lessons. 引发学生思考：通过什么方式去发现澳大利亚？然后通过同桌讨论，首字母填空的方式，培养学生读图的能力以及通过上下文理解课文的能力。
在学习图2的时候，放手让学生通过同桌合作，读一读、圈一圈的方式去理解和感悟文本，并在理解文本的基础上培养学生概括内容的能力。
巩固阶段，主要采用朗读的方式，让学生通过朗读进行更深地感知与体会。并完成书后的相关作业，以及进行相应的拓展，让学生多方面去了解澳大利亚，去感受澳大利亚的有趣之处。
整个一堂课，借用图片和短片，学生真正感受到了澳大利亚的有趣。而学生能够使用自己的语言去描述澳大利亚这一点上，还做得不是很到位。
