Old MacDonald’s farm

教学目标：

1.      学生借助图片文字、教师讲解、体验感悟等方式，大体理解绘本内容，并能听懂、会说词语run the farm, problem, put up a fence, divide animals equally, eat worms in that bush, take a bath in the pond, cut the wool, agree at once.

2.      学生在同桌合作或小组讨论中借助图文对照、归纳提炼、角色体验、预测想象等方式达到对绘本故事细节的理解并体验过程性阅读的乐趣。

3.      学生通过对故事的阅读懂得互相帮助、携手共赢的道理，引导学生遇事要学会互相帮助、彼此信任、团结一心，难题才能迎刃而解，从而形成解决难题的正确态度。

教学重难点

1.      学生能大体理解绘本内容，明白互相帮助、携手共赢的道理。

2.      学生能将所获取的信息进行分析、归纳、提炼，用一句话描述主人公遇到的困难。

3.      学生通过小组讨论的方式找到难题的解决方法，并尝试用first, then, finally来进行描述。

4.      学生能尝试说说主人公遇到的某个难题以及解决方法。

Step 1 Warm up

Enjoy a song 《Old MacDonald’s farm》before class.

Step 2 Pre-reading

T: Hello, boys and girls. I’m your new English teacher. You can call me Miss Jiao.

  Class begins. Good morning, class. Nice to meet you.

  Just now, we enjoyed a song. What animals can you see in the song?

S: I can see…

T: Yes. We can see a lot of animals on the farm. What do farmers often do on the farm?

S: They can…

T: (出示ppt) On the farm, farmers often milk the cow, feed animals, catch, pick fruit and cut the wool.

Teach: wool (cool-wool)

T: Farmers need to work hard on the farm and then they can run the farm well. Today, we are going to read a story about a farm. Look, this is the cover of the story. What do you know from the cover?

Teach: Old MacDonald 

T: Look at the two men. How do they feel?

S: Happy.

T: What do you want to know about the story?

S: Who are they? Why are they so happy? What do they often do on the farm? Where are they going? (课题旁边写关键词，记得在读书之后check)

T：You have so many questions about the story. Let’s come to this question first. You want to know who are the two men? I want to know who is Old MacDonald? Let’s read and find. (PPT 出示4-5页图)

T: Problem 4, who can try? I think it’s easy for you.

S: Eric can't cut the wool well. （师贴板书）

T: Well done, class. You have find out all the problems. (指着板书说一遍问题)

  How do they fix these problems? Let's come to Problem 1.

  Eric can't milk the cow. How does he feel?

S: He is angry.

T: He is worried too. What does he do?

S: He calls his father. （板书）

T: What are they talking about on the phone? Let's read. Now, you are Chris. I'm Dad.

  What does Chris do after the call?

S: He tries again, but still no milk come out. （板书）
