教学目标:
1、知识目标:

(3) 能听懂、会说、会读、会写句型和日常用语:What does it mean? / It means…/

2、技能目标:
(1) 能正确朗读课文,灵活运用本单元所学的句型整体复述语篇。
(2) 通过本课的学习,让学生能够看懂一些常见的公共标识,并能用英语进行询问及其描述。

(1) 通过学习公共标志常识,加强社会公德教育,提高学生自身的文明素养。
(2) 懂得“播下一种动作,收获一种习惯;播下一种习惯,收获一种品格。”的道理。

教学过程:
一、Warming up
1. Greetings.
2. Free talk:
What did you do last weekend?
I had a good time. Guess, what did I do last weekend?
二、Presentation
1. I like shopping. I went to a shopping centre.
Teach: shopping centre
2. We know there are many kinds of shops in the shopping centre. What do you know?
Practise: There are some shops in the shopping centre.
There are some restaurants in the shopping centre, too.
Teach: restaurant
3. Today, Mike, Helen and Tim are at a shopping centre. Watch the cartoon, then number the places.

In different places, they see different signs.

We’ll learn Unit5 Signs.
4. They see the first sign “Wet floor.” on the floor.
Teach: Wet floor.
But Tim doesn’t know what it means. How does Tim ask?
Read the first part, underline Tim’s question.

② It means the floor is wet. They should be careful.

③ Let’s read it after the tape.
④ Read it together.
⑤ Retell: In the shopping centre, they see the sign “Wet flloor.” It means the floor is wet. They should be careful.
5. They walk careful. Then, they see a juice shop. They are thirsty. What do they say?

② A good question! Listen and choose the sign means “you can litter here” or “ you can’t litter here”.

③ Let’s learn: No+doing 表示禁止做某事如:禁止钓鱼、禁止攀爬、禁止游泳...
“can”and “can’t”mean the ability. For example: I can ride a bike...

④ Read the dialogue after the tape.
⑤ Read after the teacher.
⑥ Retell: In a juice shop, they see the sign “No littering”. It means you can’t litter here.
6. Look, There is a bookshop. Helen wants to go in with her juice.
