Step 1 Lead in

  (课前播放歌曲Weekends,引导学生提问教师的周末活动,同时教师在交谈中反问学生的周末活动,巩固运用频率副词和周末活动短语,唤醒学生语言记忆,活跃课堂学习气氛)

2. Review Story time and Cartoon time: Unit 7, we talked a lot about weekends.

(1)Story time(呈现P70插图):

What do children do at weekends? What do you think of their weekends?

S:            always/ususlly/often/sometimes            at weekends. It’s           .

① The twins and Mike’s weekend activities: get together with famiy. (至真亲情meaningful)

Step 2 Read “Stop! Everyone Stop!!”

1. Cover reading: What can you see from the cover?

T: We can see the writer, illustrator. What else can you see? Can you ask some questions?

S: What does the boy/girl do at weekends?

S: The girl goes fishing at weekends. Teach: fishing rod

Tom has music lessons/plays his saxophone at weekends.Teach: saxophone

T: The name of the story Stop! Everyone Stop!!

T: Who says “Stop! Everyone Stop!!? How many times are there in the story?    

Why must everyone stop? Do you want to know? Let’s watch the pictures of the book.

2.Picture tour(课件滚动呈现绘本所有图片)Who? How many? Why?

S: Mum says “Stop! Everyone Stop!!for three times.

3. Learn P2-8the first stop: Mum is fed up with driving.

4.Learn 9-15the second stop: Mum is tired.

5. Learn 16-19the third stop: It’s time to go home.

① P19: Why does Mum say again? → It’s time to go home.

② P17: Mum wakes up. What does Mum ask? → Er... Is something wrong?

③ P16: Think and order(小组讨论,根据插图情节给句子排序3241)

T: Amy’s ball hits the dog. → The dog runs into Tom. → Tom drops his saxophone.
