一、教学内容

Story time

二、教学目标

1. 知识目标

(1). 能听懂、会说、会读、会写单词 birthday, eighth,eleventh,together.

(2). 能听懂、会说、会读、会写句型when’s your birthday? It’s on…what do you do on your birthday? I usually…

(3). 能正确的理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

(4). 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型谈论自己或他人的生日。

2. 技能目标

(1) 学生能够阅读理解故事;

(2) 学生能够在理解的基础上有感情地朗读并合作表演故事。

3. 情感目标

让学生体会到阅读故事的乐趣,培养学生阅读的兴趣。

三、教学重点

1.     在听故事的过程中理解词汇及句型Why…? Because …;

2.     能够从整体到局部理解内容;

3.     能以正确的语音语调朗读故事,合作表演故事。

四、教学难点

1.单词prince’s, clothes, before的读音和拼读,put on, try on, have to的理解,教师可以通过TPR及直拼法等教学方式进行进行教学;

2. Why? Because … 句型教师可充分利用生活实际和文本帮助学生理解;

3.本课故事的结构由讲述和对话构成,建议在整体理解的基础上分场景进行详细分析和描述。

六、教学过程

Step1. Pre-story

1. Enjoy the songs: Happy birthday(不同国家的生日歌)

2. Duty report (呈现五月份日历)

Day, date( the _____ of _____), weather

3. Free talks

1) May is a nice month. It’s usually warm and sunny. What festivals are in May? (PPT呈现节日图片)

 --May Day, Mother’s Day,Nurses’ Day(5,12)

(初步感受时间前面介词的不同用法,再感知the _____ of ______的表达)

4. 揭题:

1) T: SH and SY’s birthdays are also in May.

 2) L: birthday   3)揭题Unit8 Birthdays (PPT从birthday-birthdays-Unit 8 Birthdays)

5. Q--T: What do you want to know about their birthdays?

 S: When are their birthdays?  What do they do?  What do they eat? (S说,T板书)

Step2. While-story

1. Watch and find: Today Miss Li and her Ss are also talking about birthdays. Whose birthdays are they talking about?

2. Listen and choose: When are SH, SY and Mike’s birthdays? (P80练习,听完呈现P78,79图片)

 1) L: eleventh, eighth

 PPT呈现选项:eleventh, seventh,eighth, April, May --Read and learn --Tip

 2)T: When we talk about birthdays we want to know when and what they do. First, let’s listen , choose and write ...

SH and SY’s birthdays are on the _______ of __________.

3. Read and choose: What do they do/ eat on their birthdays?

(用P80 有关活动的词卡,稍作改变,让Ss选择填空,check 序号,T同时贴板书与黑板上,全班朗读)(这个过程中T逐步引导学生感知两国生日不同的特点)

 1) L: together, game

 2)SH and SY usually _____, _____, _____.

  Mike always _____, _____, _____,_____.

 3)校对时进行文化拓展。(e.g. Noodles means ‘long life’)

4.Reading

 1) Follow the tape.

 2)Read in different ways.

5. Retell: (再用P80,稍作修改,加上课文插图,引导Ss用第三人称描述。)

 1) Get the Ss in pairs: Choose one or two birthdays you like to retell in pairs.

Step 3. After-story

1. Discussion: What are the differences between SH, SY and Mike’s birthdays?

(配P78,79图)

1)In pairs.

2)Check and conclude: (在Ss反馈时,T逐步引导、补全板书,竖着排列,对比)

 InChina: stay with families; have a big dinner, eat noodles, open the presents after the party; warm and sweet

In western countries: stay with families and friends; always have a birthday party; have a birthday cake; play games; open the presents as soon as they get them; happy and funny

2. P86, Listen and choose

 1) Liu Tao and Yang Ling are also talking about their birthdays. How about their birthdays?   Now let’s listen and get to know.--Read the 3 Qs together.

 2) Listen and check

 3) Discussion: Nowadays we Chinese often have birthday parties and we usually eat birthday cakes. We are more and more the same and we’re international!

3.Share: Watch the cards about the birthdays in other countries.

 (日本人吃红豆饭--吉祥/lucky;海带汤--safety ...)

--Birthdays are colourful and happy.

4. HW

1) Learn P81 by yourself.

2) Talk about your own birthday and your family’s birthdays. (When/ What ...;T gives a model )
