第一课时 Story time

一、教学内容：Unit6 In the kitchen Story time

二、教学目标：

1. 知识目标：

（1）能听、说、读单词game, smell, meat, vegetables, tomato, potato, look for，

ready, yummy, love等。

（2）能正确理解和解读故事内容。

2. 技能目标

（1） 能正确、流利有感情地朗读故事。

（2） 能根据板书复述并谈论故事。

3. 情感目标

（1） 能学会欣赏、赞美别人。

（2） 能主动参与活动，通过同伴互助学会合作学习。

三、教学重点

1. 在听故事的过程中理解词汇及句型: Are you doing …?、Yes, I am./No, I’m not.、How is the meat/soup/…?及正确回答。

2. 能够从整体到局部理解故事内容。

3. 能正确理解并朗读课文，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

四、教学难点：

1. 菜名的朗读是本课词汇的难点，教师可以通过多样的图片让学生感知后学习。

2. 体会故事人物的情感与体验。

六、教学过程：

（一）热身活动：

(1) Know something about me

T: Hello, Boys and girls. I am Miss Li. I’d like to be your friend.

Say something about you and you family.

T: I know something about you. What about me? Listen to my chant!

I am a teacher. I like reading.

I am a mother. I like cooking.

I like coffee. I like tea.

I like noodles. I like meat.

This is me! Do you like me?

T: So What’s my hobby? What food do I like?

S: You like…

T: Yes. We eat different food every day. Where can we see them?

S1: We can see them in the supermarket. T: We always buy some food there.

S2: We can see them at the snack bar. T: We usually order and enjoy the food.

S3: We can see them in the kitchen. T: We cook nice food in the kitchen every day.

(二) 阅读活动

1. Pre—reading

(1) Listen and read

T: Look, here’s a story for you. It happens …Ss: In the kitchen.

T: I will learn the story “ In the kitchen”.I have some questions about the story.

When is it now? Who are in the kitchen? What are they doing now? Listen and answer.

S: It’s six o’clock in the evening.

Liu Tao and his parents are in the kitchen.

Liu Tao’s parents are cooking dinner in the kitchen.

T: You can catch the points. Can you read?

T: What is football game? Let’s enjoy a football game. Look, what are they doing? They are having …. S1: They are having a football game.

T: After having a football game, how is Liu Tao? S: He is hungry and thirsty.

2. While-reading

(1) 整体阅读

T: Absolutely, he is very hungry and thirsty. What’s going on? Let’s watch the story and put pictures in order. S: ______ ______ _______

T: Can you sum up the three picuters?

T: Well done.

（2）分步阅读——Cooking time

T: First, let’s go to the kitchen with Liu Tao. Look! What food do they have?

S: They have _____________.

Show the words: potatoes  tomatoes  vegetables  meat  （单词卡片）

T: Look! What’s this? S: It’s a tomato.

T: to  ma  to----tomato(自然拼读教学) What’s in the basket?

S: There is a tomato in the basket.

T：And now?

S: There are some tomatoes in the basket.

T: Please pay attention to the words. We should add es, this is the plural form.(单复数)

T: What’s on the table?

S: There are some potatoes on the table.

T:  Tomatoes and potatoes are vegetables. (教学单词)

I like vegetables, just like tomatoes, carrots and cabbages. What about you?

S: I like …

T: Good! Vegetables are good for us.

T: Who likes meat?

S: Me!

T: And me! Meat is my favorite , but I only eat a little every time. Who doesn’t like meat? Why?

To keep fit, we should eat a lot of vegetables and a little meat every day.(健康饮食小贴士)

T: They have a lot of food in the kitchen. What are they doing now?

Read carefully and find the answers.

T: What is Mum doing now? S: She is washing some vegetables.

T: What does she want to do with the vegetables? S: She wants to cook tomato soup.

T: Now I am Liu Tao.

Mum, are you cooking meat?

S: No, I’m not. I am washing some vegetables. I want to cook tomato soup.

T: Let’s ask and answer in groups. Ask, answer, Then exchange!

T: What is Dad cooking now?

S: Dad is cooking meat with potatoes.

T: Yes! I am Liu Tao. What are you doing, Dad?

Ss: I am cooking meat with potatoes.

T: Who can be Dad? Dad, what are you doing now?

S1: I am cooking meat with potatoes.

T: Who can have another try? Let’s ask Dad together.

T: How is the meat?

S: It’s very nice.

T: Yeah! Liu Tao says…That smells nice.

T: Mmm, that smells nice. (表情，体验) Let’s smell the meat. Who can read the word?

Ss: smell (红色标出单词)

T: The sentence.

分步阅读——Drinking time

T: Liu Tao is very hungry! But the dinner isn’t ready! What can he do?

T: What is he doing in the story? Look at the picture and fill in the blanks.

Liu Tao is looking for some juice in the fridge.

LT: Mum, is there any apple juice in the fridge?

Mum: No, but there’s some orange juice.

LT: OK, thank you.

T: That’s it.

T: Taotao is looking for some juice in the fridge.  But he can’t ____ it. Look for means…

T: After drinking the juice. What is Liu Tao doing now?（图）

T: Yes. Dinner is ready. Liu Tao is eating the meat.

T: Look at Taotao. What does it mean? What does he say?

S1: It’s nice, Dad.T: Thank you. Taotao. I am very happy to hear that.

S: I love it.T: Oh, thank you! You like the meat very much.

T: Now let’s listen to Taotao.

Liu Tao: It’s yummy, I love it! You ‘re a great cook!

T: yummy means nice. Love means like very much. (领读加动作)

What about the tomato soup? Please discuss in pairs.

S1: How is my soup?/Do you like my soup?/Try this soup, please!

S2: It’s yummy, Mum. I love it too! You are great cook!

S1: Thank you. I am so glad to hear that

T: Wow! What a nice dinner! Listen, please!

T: How is my soup, Taotao?

S: It’s nice, Mum. I love it too!

T: Here’s a table manner for you. Don’t forget to praise when you eat the tasty dishes.

T: What a nice dinner! I think you know the story now. Next, let’s read.

First, listen and imitate.

Next, choose one of the pictures and practice in your groups.

Finally, show your performance.

T: Good job. This is the story in the kitchen. During the cooking time, Mum wants to cook potato soup. Dad is cooking the meat. At the drinking time, Liu Tao is looking for some orange juice in the fridge. Now the dinner time, the meat is yummy, the soup is nice. (总结板书)
