二、教学目标
（一）知识目标
1. 能听懂、会说、会读词组：mop the floor, water the flowers, set the table, take out the trash, run very fast, jog with Tim, take photos, play with a skateboard, help parents, help friends, help others
2. 能听懂、会说、会读、会写：mopping, setting, watering等练习中出现的现在分词；
What is/are … doing? Who is/are V-ing …? Where is … V-ing …?
3. 能听懂、会说、会读字母组合ing在单词中的发音/Iŋ/

1. 能根据老师范例改编小诗《My great day》
2. 能讲解现在进行时的相关语法知识点
3. 能在不同情景中用现在进行时谈论人们正在做的事情
4. 能根据正确的解题技巧完成不同题型的练习
5. 能根据介绍的写作技巧完成短文《A great day in the park》，并与同学分享、互评。

Step 1 Warm up
Watch a video: < A life vest >
T: This video is meaningful. It’s about helping other.
Step 2 Revision and Presentation
1. Sing a song: < What are you doing? >
T: Hello, class. What are you doing now?
S: We’re having an English lesson now.
T: What am I doing? Listen!
2. Listen to T’s rhyme and try to read the words one by one.
spring, morning, playing, swing, singing, evening, watching
show: ing /Iŋ/
Teach: interesting, pleasing, exciting
3. T: Do you like my chant? Try to read it together.
S chant together
T: It’s my great day. How about your great days?
Let some students show their great days.

4. T: I like your great days. Today we’ll talk about great days.
Show the capital: Unit 5 Great Days
T: How about Mike’s great day? What are Mike’s family doing?
Play a game: 20 seconds non-stop talking.
5. T: You know the story well. Look! What’s the tense?
S: 现在进行时
T: Yes, it’s the present continuous tense. What do you want to remind your classmates? You have previewed it.

1. T: It’s Saturday evening. What are Mike’s family doing? Are they doing housework too?

5. T: Nancy is reading a book in the Reading Club. Liu Tao is setting the table in the Cooking Club. The twins are singing and dancing in the Music Club. There are some students in the Sports Club.

7. T: You’re all good readers. Lucy likes the Sports Club. She has some different questions. They make the dialogue more beautifully.

Step 4 Presentation
1. T: It’s Sunday afternoon. Where are the children?
S: They’re in the park.
T: What are they doing?
学生们各自仔细读图，利用他们之间的信息差，根据图片所缺信息提问，请知道答案的同学回答问题，老师给出提问关键词。

2. T: It’s a great day in the park. Mike wants to write it down.
Show the passage and read it together.
老师介绍写作技巧，并以Mike的范文为例评讲，学生们各自完成短文< A great day in the park >，实物投影展示三到四篇短文，请学生们点评。
Step 5 Homework
1. 完成写作，跟同学、家人分享你的文章，并试着相互评价打分。
2. 四人小组，用自己的方式整理本单元的知识点。
