二、教学目标
1. 知识目标
(1) 能理解Checkout time 中的故事,能简单复述,并能正确完成相应练习。
(2) 能掌握字母组合er 的发音。
(3) 让学生了解人类的两项重大发明并延伸中国古代的四大发明及其他的发明。
(4) 能运用一般过去式时态和一般现在时,对于个人的成长,社会的进步,世界的改变进行描述。

1. Checkout time
1) Talk and lead-in:Last lesson, we made an album as homework.
Now I’ll show you the Brown’s album. Look and finish.
2) Extension:
From the album we know,some photos are old. Look at this photo. Who’s he ? He’s Mr Brown. He was young in the photo.
Talk about him with these key words: who, age , job, where, what, how
Talk about Mrs Brown in the old picture with these key words: who, age , job, where, what, how
3) Look at the photos about Mr & Mrs Brown now, and find out their jobs.
4) Listen to the tape and finish the sentences about the changes of their life during the twenty-five years.
Mr Brown is an office worker.
Twenty years ago, He _wrote letters to his friends.
He used the telephone at home and in the office to call people.
Now he has a mobile phone and he can call people anywhere.
He also writes emails.
Mrs Brown is a housewife.
Many years ago, she swept the floor by herself.
Now she sweeps the floor by sweeping robots.
She often took photos for the family by camera in the past.
Now she uses the mobile phone.She likes makingthe album.
She cooks nice food and takes care of the family everyday.
2. Sound time
1) Different people have different jobs. Name some jobs from the picture.
Let’s say the words together. Find the rules of word structure.

5) Read the words together ,then make some new sentences with the words.

1) What other creative jobs do you know?

6) Find out the other three Great Inventions of ancient China
7)Sum up: Inventors change our world. Each job should be respected.
If everyone works hard ,our life will be changed again in the future.
Step3: Homework
1.Surf the Internet and find out more great inventions
and their inventors.
2.Write a short passage with the title “Different jobs/lives of my parents”.
教学反思:
这节课一开始以第三课时的家作,制作相册来引入,直接进入checkout time的环节。通过挖掘教材内容,创设布朗夫妇25年前是学生的情境,激发学生对故事的兴趣。通过对比这25年的生活方式的变化,帮助学生构建生活经验,激发学生表达的兴趣。通过组织猜一猜布朗夫妇的职业,听一听布朗夫妇生活的变化,写一写等形式多样的活动,引导学生推测、关注大意,寻找细节,逐步培养学生的语篇学习方法,有助于学生养成良好的学习习惯。
最初备课时,因为课文的简单易懂,所含的信息量少,在试上过程中忽视了文化对语言的影响,导致了一些语言情景的不真实。在黄校的指导下,重视文化版块这一教学环节。将语言与英语文化相连接,对中西方不同的发明,这一点做出解读。同时,寻找到第一辆火车运行的音频和关于指南针在中国的发展。以便学生能够更直观,更深入地理解语言之外的文化背景,养成一定的跨文化意识。
