一、教学内容:六下Unit3 A healthy diet Sound time & Cartoon time & Culture time

二、教学目标:

(一)知识目标:

1. 了解字母组合ou的发音;

2. 了解中西方早餐的不同之处;

3. 能听懂、会读、会说:porridge, steamed bun, cereal, sausage, cola, need。

(二)能力目标:

1. 能理解Cartoon time的小故事,并能流利朗读该故事;

2. 能正确区分字母组合ou的四种不同发音;

3. 能灵活运用a little, a few, much, many, a lot of, some来表述他人和自己的饮食习惯。

(三)情感目标:增进对中西方不同的饮食文化的了解,培养包容的文化意识。

三、教学重难点:

1. 字母组合oo的发音;

2. Porridge, steamed buns, cereal, sausage的发音与含义。

五、教学过程:

Step1. Revision

1.      Game: Match and read

Rules: Match the pictures with “ a lot of/ some/ a few/ a little ”,then read thephrases loudly. Then, please say /aʊ/ .

2.      Talk about the food pyramid

Today, we’ll continue to learn unit3 A healthy diet. Look, this is the food pyramid. And in our daily life, we should have a healthy diet. What is a healthy diet? What should we eat? And how much should we eat these food?

学生看着食物金字塔,个别回答。

3.      Review the story time

Do you remember Mike and Yang Ling’s diet? What do they eat in their daily life?

How about Yang Ling’s aunt Miss Li? Do you want to know her diet? Now, let’s ask her. What can you ask?

Step2. Presentation and practice

1.      Culture time

Today, Mike and Yang Ling go to visit Miss Li. Look, it’s six thirty. Miss Li wants to cook breakfast for them. But we know, Mike is from the UK. And Yang Ling is from China. So Miss Li is confused. What should I cook? Boys and girls, can you help her? You can think about these two questions.

Q1: What do Chinese people eat for breakfast?

Q2: What do Western people eat for breakfast?

Discuss in pairs

学生说出结果,教师适时板书:

出示Culture time 句子,look, are we right? Read after the computer. (逐句)

教学:steamed buns, cereal, sausages(齐读两遍,小组读或男女生读即可)

Now, can you give Miss Li some suggestions? Miss Li, you can cook……or you can make……

2.      Sound time

Thank you, boys and girls. Now, Miss Li is going to cook breakfast for them. She is in the kitchen. Is she happy? What does she say?

出示:Miss Li shouts “Get out! Get out!”

Why does she shout?

出示:There is a little mouse in her house.

Look at the letters in red. “ou”here are all pronounced /aʊ/. Let’s read together. Pay attention to the pronunciation /aʊ/.

Ss齐读sound time

Let’s help Miss Li get the mouse away from her house.

Game1: Hit the mouse

Rules:

1.      When you see the words, please read loudly!

2.      When you see the mouse, please say “Get out” !

Let’s read the word again. Look at all these words. Here “ou” are all pronounced /aʊ/.

Game2: Pick apples

Pick the apples that “ou ” is pronounced  /aʊ/.

We helped Miss Li. But the mouse is still there. So Miss Li shouts “Help! Help!”

Look, who comes to help?

Sam and his mum.

Wow, the mouse runs away. Miss Li can cook breakfast for Yang Ling and Mike.

Bobby is happy. He says: Mum, helping others makes me happy.

So, boys and girls, we should help the people in need. That can make our life more beautiful.

3.      Cartoon time

Now, Sam and his mum are not in Miss Li’s house.

Watch and answer the two questions: Where do they go? And what do they do there?

Read and find: What food do they buy?

They buy so many things. Is Sam happy at last?

Why? So what will his mum say?

Let’s retell

Let’s think: Do Sam's family have a healthy diet? Why?

Boys and girls, we should eat a lot of nice food. And don’t eat the junk food. Or eat just a little. Healthy diet, healthy life.
